Lee Littlefield
May 22 - September 12, 2004 Free AdmissionThe Daum Museum of Contemporary Art presents Lee Littlefield’s pop-up sculptures on the campus of State Fair Community College. These sculptures look like the product of collaboration between Dr. Seuss and Sigmund Freud, they are named for the context, not their appearance. These fanciful structures, made from wood, are long and leggy, brightly painted, and topped with spiky bonnets.
Littlefield is currently and Art Instructor at the Edison Middle School in Houston, Texas. He received his MA from the University of New Mexico in 1968. He has exhibited extensively with over seventy solo exhibitions since the late 1960’s. These exhibitions have been in art galleries and museums across the United States.
