Judy Chicago: A Retrospective in a Box
September 27 - December 16, 2014 Free AdmissionJudy Chicago (b. 1939) is a pioneer feminist artist who came to prominence in the late 1960s and is probably best known for her installation The Dinner Party (1979). This was a ground-breaking work made to celebrate women throughout history. In celebration of her 75th birthday, the Daum will debut a recently acquired portfolio of prints by Chicago, entitled A Retrospective in a Box (2014). This suite of seven lithographs surveys Chicago’s career across four decades with a selection of images that represent her interests in feminism, male power, autobiography, birth, and motherhood.
