The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art offers three exhibition cycles each year and up to 15 exhibitions. There are nine exhibition galleries on three levels.

The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art opened in 2002 and is located on the State Fair Community College campus in Sedalia, Missouri. The museum collects, preserves, and exhibits modern and contemporary works of art.

Docents Speaking with Fifth Grade Class

Guided tours provide visitors an interactive and engaging experience. Museum staff and trained docents give tours to adults and students of all ages. Visitors can come time after time and learn and see something new. Tours are tailored to each group.

The Daum employs Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) as its main educational platform. VTS is a research-based, student-centered teaching system that uses art to build the capacity to observe, think, listen, and communicate.

Daum Museum Catalog Covers

Beautiful, one-of-a-kind catalogs illustrating major exhibits are created to celebrate the artist and the event. A limited quantity is available for purchase by visitors and those who are not able to view the exhibit.

Membership in the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art provides unique opportunities and sustains a lasting artistic legacy for future generations. Members receive exclusive invitations to exhibition previews and social events with featured artists to learn firsthand about their art and discuss art-making processes.
